I really like my front lawn, even when it’s uneven and overgrown and crabgrass has colonized the better part of it. Or maybe especially then.

Still, there must be a mowing, so before I ran over a bunch of wild flowers, I’d better snap a few more pictures.

The irises and roses have begun to bloom.

The Cecil Bruner is really taking to its new spot.

But then again, even the roses I dig up don’t take the hint. This one was trying to hide by the side of the house. I’ve dug it up twice already.

I also caught a couple of broadhead skinks rough-housing in the garden. Most of them got away before I could get close enough for a picture, but I cornered this guy. He didn’t appreciate the garden paparazzi.
